Advanced Dental Care for Your Comfort

In order to provide you and your family with the most advanced, comfortable dental care, our dentists incorporate state-of-the-art technology into every aspect of Ruby Canyon Dental.

What Technologies and Amenities Do You Offer

CEREC® One-Visit Restorations

With the revolutionary CEREC® system, we can create and place crowns and other restorations in just one visit! CEREC’s computer-aided design and in-office milling process are incredibly precise, so we can guarantee a great fit when your new restoration is placed.

CEREC can be used in almost any dental procedure, from a simple filling or crown to a complete smile makeover. Because we are now able to work with such detailed and up-close 3D images, there is no need for us to take impressions of your teeth — no more biting down on goopy trays!

There is also no need for temporary restorations! The CEREC 3D software takes your digital pictures and converts them into 3-dimensional virtual models. Your dentist designs the restoration using the CEREC 3D computer program and then the design is electronically sent to our in-office milling machine. About 10–20 minutes later, your all-ceramic, tooth-colored restoration is finished and ready for bonding. All of your dental treatment is complete in just ONE office visit!

3D Digital Panoramic X-rays

Digital X-ray - Ruby Canyon Dental

3D digital panoramic X-rays allow our doctors to provide complex restorative and cosmetic dental treatments without having to refer patients to a specialist. These images also make it easier for us to visualize a number of issues that cannot be seen with traditional X-rays, from impacted teeth and root infections to jaw irregularities.

Our 3D panoramic X-ray machine scans your entire head and face structure in just a matter of seconds, allowing us to evaluate the relationship between your teeth, bones, nerves, tissues, and airways like never before! Plus, 3D X-ray imaging not only costs less than traditional CT scans, but they lessen your radiation exposure.

Why Do I need X Rays

We look forward to meeting you!

Intraoral Camera

Many patients, especially our younger patients, have a hard time understanding exactly what goes on at their dental appointment. And we understand why — you can’t see the problem with your own eyes. We want your dental visits to be both effective and informative, so we use intraoral cameras that allow us to show you through instant, digital imaging, exactly what we are seeing while we examine your mouth. This tool helps you understand your diagnosis and really be an active participant in your oral health.

Our intraoral cameras also allow us to zoom in on your dental images so that we can accurately diagnose and treat any dental issues while they are still very small. In fact, most of the dental problems we find with our intraoral camera are undetectable to the naked eye.

Isolite® System

Isolite - Ruby Canyon Dental

Are you tired of long dental visits and the aching jaw that comes with them? The Isolite system completely changes the game for dentistry!

Isolite’s soft, flexible mouthpiece lets you rest your jaw during treatment. It also illuminates your mouth from the inside, eliminating shadows and helping us work more efficiently. Best of all, Isolite uses self-aspirating technology that makes cotton rolls and rinse breaks a thing of the past!

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry shortens the duration of almost any dental procedure that usually requires a scalpel and sutures.

Hard Tissue Lasers

Our dentists use hard tissue lasers to gently and effectively prepare your teeth for restorations. Waterlase combines laser energy and water to accurately remove tooth decay without damaging any of the surrounding tooth structure.

Soft Tissue Lasers

Soft tissue lasers are especially useful in gum disease therapy, because the high-intensity laser energy has been proven to kill bacteria and promote the regrowth of soft tissue cells. Since these lasers eliminate the need for scalpels and sutures, they also help minimize pain and speed the healing process.

Areas of dental care that benefit from laser technology:

  • Cavity Diagnosis & Removal
  • Curing or Hardening Bonding Materials
  • Whitening Teeth
  • Periodontal & Gum Care
  • Pediatric Procedures
  • Apthous Ulcer Treatment (Canker Sores)
  • Frenectomy (Tongue-Tie Release)
  • Root Canal Therapy
  • Crown Lengthening

We look forward to treating you!

Laser Cavity Detection

The painless Diagnodent® laser scans teeth for hidden decay, often detecting cavities long before they can be seen by the naked eye. When your Grand Junction dentist catches a cavity early, he can usually place a smaller filling and preserve more of your natural tooth.

Loupe Magnification

At Ruby Canyon Dental, we use high-powered loupe magnification to enhance the effectiveness of our patient care. Using these state-of-the art loupes allows us to examine your mouth thoroughly and create dental restorations with incredible precision. This means excellent oral health and perfectly-fit restorations for you!
